"Ben was an outstanding player for us the past two seasons. He was a great clutch player. He has a lot of baseball instincts and savvy. He will turn into a great coach, and we're glad to give him some of that seasoning and experience at Clemson as a student coach. He knows the system and what is expected. He knows how to get to Omaha because he's played there. He will make a great contribution to our team."
