Singles: Had a 28-8 record overall in singles and in dual matches...had a 5-5 mark in ACC matches...had a 12-1 record at number three singles and a 16-7 mark at number four singles...had a 58-24 record in sets played...had an 8-2 mark in three set matches...6-5 in tie breakers...had a 16-4 mark in home matches and a 9-3 mark in away matches.
Doubles: Teamed with Nathan Thompson and the pair finished with a 16-7 record overall...had an 8-2 mark at number one doubles in ACC matches.
In 2003-04
Singles: Finished the season with 24-9 record in singles and a 23-9 mark in dual match play...had a 13-6 record at number six singles and a 7-2 mark at number five...finished the year with a 3-1 mark at number four singles...had a 49-23 mark in sets played for a .681 pct....had a 5-1 mark in three set matches...finished the year with a 4-3 mark in tie breakers...had a 9-1 record in both home and neutral matches...second on the team in most victories with 24.
Doubles: Finished the year with an 26-8 record in doubles...finished the season with a 25-8 record in dual match play...teamed with Brett Twente and the pair had a 11-4 record overall...they had a 8-4 record at number three doubles...also they were 1-0 at number two doubles...Twente and Young were 2-2 at number three doubles in ACC play...third on the team in doubles victores with 26.
Before Clemson
Graduated from the School of the Arts in Charleston...In the summer of 2003, broke the all-time record at the Qualifying for the Southern Junior tournament, the Belton Palmetto Championships, in both singles and doubles... majoring in sports management.
