Abby Crumpton is in her first season as an assistant coach at Clemson.
Crumpton played professionally for the Atlanta Beat of the WUSA in 2003 and 2004. She also was a member of the U.S. U21 Women's National team that won the 2002 Nordic Cup Championship.
Crumpton played at the University of Michigan, and was named the Big Ten Player of the Year in 2002, becoming the first Michigan player to be awarded this honor. In 2002, she helped Michigan to its best final national ranking (11th) and its first trip to the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals in the program's nine-year history.
Crumpton was named a NSCAA All-American after leading the Wolverines in scoring with 35 points, on 11 goals and 13 assists her senior season. She finished her college career as the Wolverines' all-time leading scorer with 116 points, on 43 goals and 30 assists. She ranks second on Michigan's all-time career list for goals, assists, and game-winning goals.
Crumpton was named to the All-Big Ten first team in 2001 after notching 13 goals and four assists. She was named to the All-Big Ten Tournament team in 2001. Crumpton was named All-Big Ten in 1999, 2001, and 2002. She majored in Sports Management and Communications at the University of Michigan.
